Kings Beach
Kings Beach fronts Algoa Bay in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) and offers a Blue Flag, 1.6-km arc of golden sand from the harbour wall to Humewood, ideal for surf and beach racing layouts with plenty of promenade space, parking, change rooms and nearby amenities. Kings Beach is the home to the King’s Beach Surf Lifesaving Club (created in 1952).
The beach offers a wide playfield, ideal for beach events and back of beach amenities. The surf offers a consistent beach-break that works on South East swells with offshore westerlies, ideal for surf lifesaving competition. The water temperatures are mild by South African standards, typically high-teens to low 20°C in late spring/early summer.
King’s Beach Admin | King’s Beach Marquee | King’s Beach Hub
These facilities form part of the King’s Beach footprint. The Admin will host EMC and LOC meetings, the Marquee will be used for team and officials’ briefings, and the Beach Hub will provide a social focal point, including the closing party. Exact locations within the King’s Beach precinct will be confirmed closer to the event.
