Tsitsikamma is a khoi word meaning “place of abundant or sparkling water”. The region stretches from the Bloukrans River in the west to Eerste Rivier in the east, is bordered on the north by the imposing Tsitsikamma mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean.
The Tsitsikamma Village Inn is one of the original buildings (revamped over time) from the region and offers a great base from which to explore the area.
The area is covered in large tracts of indigenous forest, commercial plantation and fynbos. Deep river gorges cleft the plateau as they make their way down to the sea.

Forming the boundary between Botswana and Namibia is the Chobe River – one of the most well-known perennial rivers in Africa. Victoria Falls presents a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. In more modern terms Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world. A visit here will not disappoint.
Columns of spray can be seen from miles away as, at the height of the rainy season, more than five hundred million cubic meters of water per minute plummet over the edge, over a width of nearly two kilometres, into a gorge over one hundred meters below.

Victoria Falls Zimbabwe Safari

Added to this is a safari opportunity par excellence both from the water on a Chobe River boat trip and from open game drive vehicles in the Chobe National Park. Be ready for wonderful elephant viewing opportunities.
IMPORTANT: Certain nationalities may require visas to enter Zambia, Zimbabwe and or Botswana. Some nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival at the point of entry and others need to arrange prior to arrival. A multiple visa for Zimbabwe will be required as you are exiting to visit Botswana and re-entering to travel back to Johannesburg.
Your passports need to be valid for a minimum of 6 months and you must have a minimum of 2 blank pages. We recommend that you double-check this information as the onus is on the passenger to make sure they have all the necessary documentation.
Malaria prophylaxis is recommended when visiting Zambia, Botswana or Zimbabwe. Please consult your medical practitioner.

Tours operate with a minimum number of participants and are subject to Turners and appointed Tour operator’s terms and conditions.
Accommodation and flights are subject to availability when booking.
Package duration can be extended, or two packages could be combined.
Luxury and deluxe options are available, and packages can be adjusted according to delegates budget and time constraints.
Some lodges do not charge a single supplement – this will be confirmed on booking.
Longer fly- in safari packages are available on request.

Important Tour Information

All tours are subject to minimum numbers being reached and are subject to cancellation fees. If minimum numbers are not achieved you will be offered an alternative tour, equal in value or you will be refunded in full.

Basic Tour Conditions for individual bookings – A separate policy applies to groups of 10 or more and is available on request.

A deposit of 20% of the total tour value is required within 14 days of booking to confirm the tour reservation. The balance of the tour price must reach Turners Destination Management Company (Pty) Ltd 45 days prior to the tour departure date. Any tours booked within 45 days of the departure date must be paid for in full immediately.

All tours are subject to Turners and their appointed tour operators’ terms and conditions.  Once confirmed, tours will be subject to a cancellation fee if cancelled before 01 July 2026. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after 01 July 2026.

Cancellation Fees

Refunds will be permitted for bookings cancelled within the following time periods, prior to departure:

  • More than 90 Days:  Full refund less an administration fee per tour
  • 90 Days & 60 Days:  Full tour price less 20%
  • 60 Days & 30 Days:  Full tour price less 50%
  • 30 Days & 0 Days:    No refund

 

An amendment fee of R300.00 applies to all changes made to confirmed reservations.  The above conditions apply unless otherwise specified in writing.
